Meet our therapists
Lauren Melendez
Pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Life can be hard, and it oftentimes leaves us feeling anxious, defeated and alone. I am here to help you navigate the emotional and relational chaos you may be experiencing. It's time to create space for you to heal. Begin to discover your true self, and cultivate practices to ensure that when life gets hard — and let's be real, it will — you are able to embrace the uncertainty and discomfort with laughter, peace, and joy.
I have training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy®, an integrative, trauma-informed model of therapy that utilizes attachment theory, neuroscience, somatic techniques and cognitive psychology. My clinical experience has been working with women and children struggling with addiction, anxiety, attachment injury, depression, grief, PTSD and trauma.
I enjoy working with women and children from diverse cultural backgrounds. I intentionally create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for women and children to feel seen, heard and known. I believe therapy is sacred work, and it would be my privilege and honor to embark on this journey together.
